With so many resources on the internet, with all the instruction videos on Youtube and with so many automatic features on new digital camera, many people ask a seemingly valid question: "Why should I spend my time and money on taking a course, when I can get it for free...?" Well, yes, those resources can help you get started, but there is nothing better than having a professional who has been taking photos for many years at you disposal.
The knowledge you gain, will save you a lot of the time and aggravation that you will have if you try to figure it all out by yourself.
There is an old but oh so true saying:"... even the worst camera is not as good as the best photographer..." What this little truism is trying to tell us, is that regardless of the incredible technology at our fingertips, the photo you will take is only as good as your technical skills, your artistic inclination and your ability to "see" things. There are countless millions of DSLR cameras sold every year, in fact a total of 110million digital cameras and 10million DSLRs were sold in 2010. Does that mean that the quality of photography is any better than that taken by the pioneers over 100 years ago? We think not...Try to google "19th century photography" and be amazed by the quality achieved by camera and lighting equipment that is primitive by today's standards.
The point is, that if you choose learn it all by yourself, you might eventually become an accomplished photographer, but on the other hand, you could learn in 4 to 5 hours of private tuition so many tips and tricks that it would take you 2 years to discover them on you own.
Of course, the whole beauty of digital photography is that you can enhance and improve your photos (in some cases even salvage bad ones) in post processing. For this reason, we offer Photoshop tuition as well, so you will get the most out of your images.
Our photography course is particularly suitable for people who are just about to leave on a long trip and would like to take professional looking photos, or parents who would like to take pictures of their growing family, or anybody who would like to take their hobby to the next level.
